The North Oldham Lady Swimmers finished 2nd in the State at the KHSAA Swimming and Diving Finals on Saturday. This is their highest final ranking in school history. The team finished with 198 points, as the Mustangs scored in every event. Lilly Oglesby, Morgan Miller, Kelly Tichenor and Lauren Ashton clinched All-American status in the 200 yard medley relay and placed third. Miller and Ashton finished fourth and sixth, respectively in the championship heat of the 200 yard freestyle. Tichenor took individual honors when she placed sixth in the 200 yard medley and fourth in the 100 yard butterfly. Miller followed Tichenor’s races with a third place finish in the 500 yard freestyle. In the 200 yard freestyle relay, Miller, Tichenor, Oglesby and Brooke Payne placed third in 1:36.86, sealing All-American status. Lilly Oglesby grabbed All-American status in the 100 yard breaststroke, finishing third with a time of 1:03.37. In the final championship heat, Ashton, Payne, Jenna Wilkerson and Hallie Stivers placed seventh in the 400 yard freestyle relay.
