Boys Varsity Basketball · From Mustang Player to Mustang Leader

David Levitch, 2013 North Oldham High School graduate, and all-time leader in scoring and steals at North Oldham has come back to lead the Mustangs boys basketball program. Levitch whose collegiate career at the University of Louisville and experiences under three North Oldham head coaches has helped him get ready to take over as the boys head coach. Levitch stated having played for Coach Danny Edelen, Coach David Henley, and Coach Chris Stobaugh, at NOHS, and Coach Rick Pitino at U of L have all given him insight and experience in running his own program. “I have taken something from each one of these guys” stated Coach Levitch, and said he would use this knowledge to help him in building his own program. Coach Levitch brought in veteran U of L alum Terry Howard to help him on the bench, along with NOHS graduates and stand out basketball players Alex Foley, and Jacob Clark. Rounding out his staff will Damon Thurmond who will be the head JV coach, and Matt Spencer running the freshman squad.

North Oldham is excited to see what Coach Levitch can do with these players in the 2018-2019 season as the new leader of the Mustangs.
