Boys Varsity Basketball · New Season: New Coaches – Part 1: Boys Basketball

By: Madison Thompson

The North Oldham High School boys basketball has a new coaching staff lead by NOHS graduate David Levitch.  Although Coach Levitch is very comfortable on a basketball court, he says his first day was different, since this is his first career coaching job. “I had to learn everyone’s names quickly because I came in so late considering I got the job after the season started.” Coach Levitch has high hopes for the first season game against Iroquois High School. Throughout this year’s season, Coach Levitch’s goal is “to win districts and make a run at state.”The team has been practicing hard and so far Coach Levitch has been “learning to adjust to the players and finding the best style.”  He also knows “there are so many things I will learn once the games start.”

Come out and help cheer them at home this Tuesday, November 27 when our Freshman, JV and Varsity teams face off against Iroquois High School.  Tip off for the first game is at 5:00. See you in the Black Hole!
