North Oldham Comeback Win Sealed at Free Throw Line

The North Oldham boys’ basketball team traveled to Frankfort to take on the Panthers Friday night.  North Oldham won the very physical game 58-57 by sinking 24 of 29 free throws to go 2-0 on the young season.  In the 4th quarter, the Mustangs rallied behind Tyler Higdon’s eight points and clutch last minute free throw shooting of Layne McIntosh and Will Hare to capture the victory.

The Mustangs were led in scoring by Dallas Roberts with 16 points.  Grant Adelson and Tyler Higdon both scored 13. Others scoring for the Mustangs were Lane McIntosh 6; William Hare 5; and Mitchell Cox 5.

North Oldham Rides Hot Shooting to Remain Undefeated

The North Oldham boys’ basketball team traveled to Spencer County to take on Holy Cross (Louisville) on Saturday afternoon.  North Oldham rode the hot shooting of Grant Adelson and Luke Barry to a 64-48 win to move to 3-0 on the season.  Adelson was 5 of 7 from 3-point range, while Barry was perfect from the field on the afternoon.  The Mustangs displayed nice ball movement and team defense in route to their most complete win of the season to date.

The Mustangs were led in scoring by Grant Adelson with 20 points.  Luke Barry added 16 points and Dallas Roberts contributed 12 points. Others chipping in for the Mustangs were William Hare 5; Jack Smith 4; Tyler Higdon 3; Lane McIntosh 2; and Thomas Ashton with 2 points.

The Mustangs next play at home on Tuesday December 4th versus Male High School with the varsity contest tipping off at

7:30 PM.
