The North Oldham boys’ basketball team played the Waggener Wildcats in Goshen on Monday night in what was an entertaining game from start to finish. The Mustangs ultimately fell 74-65 to the once beaten Wildcats but battled them until the end. North Oldham falls to 4-5 on the season after completing a brutal stretch of games, including three top 15 KY ranked teams.
The Mustangs were down 32-26 at the half with balanced scoring led by Tyler Higdon with 6 points. In the second half, the Mustangs were led by Dallas Roberts and Grant Adelson with 14 points and 11 points respectively. Eighth grader, Roberts led the Mustangs with 19 points on the night and a perfect 9/9 from the FT line. Grant Adelson finished the game with 16 points on 4/7 from 3-point land, dished out 6 assists and had 6 rebounds. Tyler Higdon also scored in double figures pouring in 15 points and had 5 rebounds. Also scoring for the Mustangs were William Hare 5; Luke Berry 4; Thomas Ashton 2; Lane McIntosh 2; and Ian Higdon 2.
The Mustangs will next play on Thursday, December 20th in the Simon Kenton Invitational at Simon Kenton High School.
