The North Oldham boys’ basketball team traveled to Simon Kenton High School for a second-round tournament game against the host Pioneers and lost 90-72. Simon Kenton, one of the top teams in the 8th region ran precision offensive sets all night and the young Mustangs played catch up from the opening tip. North Oldham falls to 5-6 on the season and will play Scott High School in the 3rd place game on Saturday evening.
The Mustangs did have five players in double figure scoring tonight led by Grant Adelson with 23 points. Adelson was 8/13 from the field, including 5 made 3 pointers. He also had 5 assists, 4 rebounds and 3 steals. Dallas Roberts and Tyler Higdon both scored 12 points. Roberts also had two assists while Higdon had 7 rebounds. Will Hare contributed 11 points on 3/4 field goal attempts along with 3 assists. Thomas Ashton continued his hot shooting with 10 points on 4/6 field goals and Luke Barry added 4 to round out the scoring.
