The North Oldham boys’ basketball team played a home game on Tuesday night against the North Bullitt Eagles and won 69-64. The Mustangs trailed after the first period 14-10 but scored 23 points in the 2nd quarter behind Grant Adelson (9 points) and Luke Barry (8 points) to lead the Eagles at the half 33-22.
In the second half, the Mustangs continued to build their lead behind Dallas Roberts (8 points) and Tyler Higdon (5 points) to lead 55-35 after the 3rd quarter. The lead was cut to only 3 points with 20 seconds to play but Tyler Higdon sealed the 5-point win with 2 free throws. North Oldham is now 7-10 on the season and are back in action on Friday night at home vs Ryle High School.
Luke Barry led the Mustangs in scoring with 16 points and 3 steals. Dallas Roberts added 14 points, including 7/10 from the free throw line. Grant Adelson had 11 points and 5 rebounds. Tyler Higdon scored 7 points and controlled the boards for the Mustangs with 12 rebounds. Also scoring for the Mustangs were Thomas Ashton 6; Ian Higdon 6; Will Hare 5; Jack Scales 2; and Grant Bastyr with 2.
