The North Oldham boys’ basketball team played at Atherton HS on Saturday afternoon and beat the Rebels 67-50. The Mustangs are now 10-15 on the season and back in action on Tuesday, Feb 5th at home vs Owen County.
The game was tied at 12-12 after the 1st quarter and then the Mustangs went on a nice run to close the half and lead 30-18 at the break. North Oldham played a little sluggish in the 3rd quarter allowing the Rebels to close the gap to just two points, 38-36 after the 3rd quarter. The Mustangs regained their focus and turned up the pressure resulting in several baskets off steals while hitting their FTs down the stretch to pull away and win by the 17-point margin.
North Oldham was led in scoring by Dallas Roberts with 21 points (11/14 FTs). Dallas also had 5 steals. Tyler Higdon scored 18 points and played a complete game with 7 rebounds, 4 steals and 2 blocks. Grant Adelson was 4/9 from 3 pt land scoring 14 points. Grant added 3 rebounds and a blocked shot as well. Rounding out the scorning for the Mustangs was Jack Scales 5; William Hare 3; Luke Barry 3; and Will Yochum with 3.
