The North Oldham boys’ basketball team put together another dominant performance on Saturday night beating Franklin County 76-49. The Mustangs won their 4th straight game and are now 13-15 on the season.
The Mustangs started the game off a bit sluggish, but still lead 13-12 after the first quarter. North Oldham hit some outside shots and moved the ball much more crisply to take a 35-22 lead into the break. Much like the past few games, North Oldham put together a strong second half and cruised to the easy 27-point victory.
The Mustangs were led tonight by Tyler Higdon with an all-around dominant performance. Tyler had 19 points (8/11 fgs), 9 rebounds, 5 steals and 4 assists. Thomas Ashton had another nice game as well scoring 16 points ((6/8 fgs; 4 3 pters) and dishing out 5 assists. Will Hare followed up his double/double last night with 12 points (3/10 fgs), grabbed 7 rebounds, dished out 5 assists, and had 3 steals. Rounding out the Mustang double figure scoring was Luke Barry with 11 points (4/8 fgs) and 2 assists. Also scoring for the Mustangs were Dallas Roberts 6; Layne McIntosh 5; Nick Kokoski 3; Ian Higdon 2; and Mitchell Cox with 2.
Mark your calendars for next Tuesday, Feb 12th when North Oldham takes on Collins HS at home for the 2018/2019 Senior Night game. We will be honoring Grant Adelson, Will Hare, Layne McIntosh and Jack Smith.
