Boys Varsity Wrestling · North Wrestlers Heading to State led by Regional Champion Sam Jenkins

The North Oldham Mustang wrestlers had an extremely strong showing sending 7 of the 11 wrestlers that competed at the Regional meet on Saturday to the State Meet following their Region 5 victories. The Mustangs finished 4th out of 10 teams scoring 138 team points. Senior Sam Jenkins was the lone Regional Champion at 182 pounds pinning his opponent at 4:03 in the first period. With this performance Sam was named Most Outstanding Wrestler of Region 5. He is pictured here with Coach Reed.

Bryce Moberly placed 2nd for the Mustangs at 152 pictured on the podium.

Others placing and advancing to the State meet were 3rd place finishers of Corey Joos at 106, Justin Krebs at 120, Gabe Bobay at 126. Taking 4th and advancing were Michael Davis at 132, and Kyle Nash at 170. Placing 5th was Marshall Royce at 145.
