The boys lacrosse team traveled to Elizabethtown Wednesday evening for their second game of the season. The temperature hovered around 30 degrees at game time, but the Mustangs didn’t let the frigid conditions slow them down as they tamed the Panthers 13-6. The defense, anchored by Seniors Jacob Sarno, Ben Magnus and Reid Varda, imposed themselves on the home team and forced 13 turnovers, while newcomer Landon McGill joined Senior Marshall Royce in taking face-offs where they combined for a 74% win percentage. With confidence that they could win the ball back if necessary, the North Oldham offense was able to settle into their plays and pick apart E-Town’s defensive structure. Seniors Chase Hill and Jackson Anderson led the charge, each with 4 goals. Junior Ethan Gay opened his account for the season with a 2 goal effort. Marshall Royce, Senior Spencer Hinnen and Sophomore Will Yochum rounded out the scoring with 1 apiece. The Mustang’s next game is Tuesday, March 12, when they play at CAL. Their first home game will be Wednesday, March 20 versus Male.
