Boys Varsity Swimming, Girls Varsity Swimming · Swim Teams Start Fast Winning Autumn Classic for 7th Straight Year

North Oldham Swim Team had a great start to their season on Saturday at the Autumn Classic in Shelbyville. They were able to walk away with winning the girls, boys, and combined titles for the 7th year in a row.  Here are the team results.

The North girls swept the relays.  The winning 200 yard Medley Relay consisted of Abby Schultz, Halle Stivers, Sarah-Catherine Dawson and Lauren Hays.  The winning 200 yard Free Relay was won with Ashley Wectawski  (8th grade), Taylor Childress, Julia Luzzio and Abby Schultz.  The wining 400 year Free Relay included Lauren Hays, Molly Conway, Sarah-Catherine Dawson and Halle Stivers.

The NOHS boys also swept the relays.  The winning 200 Yard Medley relay consisted of Harrison Albright, Oscar Kingsley, Jordan Parker and Ty Wectawski.  The 200 yard Free Relay was won by Ty Wectawski, 8th grader Ryan Miller, Oscar Kingsley, and Harrison Albright.  The 400 yard Free Relay was won by Tyler Robinson, Alexander Bridgmohan, 8th grader Ryan Mattingly and Jordan Parker.

Individual female winners include Lauren Hays (200 Free, 500 Free), Sarah-Catherine Dawson (200 IM, 100 Fly), Abby Schultz (50 Free, 100 Back), Ashley Wectawski (100 Free) and Halle Stivers (100 Breast).

Individual male winners include Harrison Albright (200 Free, 100 Free) and Jordan Parker (50 Free, 100 Breast).

Other notable girls were 7th grader Riley Auton (2nd in 200 Free and 2nd in 500 Free),  Molly Conway (3rd 200 Free), Halle Stivers (3rd 200 IM), 8th grader Ashley Wectawski (2nd 50 Free), Taylor Childress (3rd 100 Fly and 2nd 100 Back).

Notable boys were Alexander Bridgmohan (3rd 200 Free), Ty Wectawski (2nd 50 Free and 3rd 100 Free) and 8th grader Ryan Miller (3rd 100 Fly and 3rd 100 Back).
