North Oldham Lady Mustangs Varsity Drops Game To Spencer County After Late Score
North Oldham Lady Mustangs Varsity stayed in it until the end, but Spencer County pulled away late in a 2-1 victory on Monday. The game was tied at one with Spencer County batting in the bottom of the sixth when an error scored one run for Spencer County.
The pitching was strong on both sides. Spencer County pitchers struck out seven, while North Oldham Lady Mustangs Varsity sat down ten.
North Oldham Lady Mustangs Varsity fired up the offense in the first inning, when Brooke Chick singled on a 0-1 count, scoring one run.
Spencer County knotted the game up at one in the bottom of the third inning. Alexander drove in one when she doubled.
Madisyn Eads took the loss for North Oldham Lady Mustangs Varsity. She lasted six innings, allowing three hits and two runs while striking out ten and walking one.
Haley Block, Bailey Wurth, Chaney Floyd, Gabi McDonald, and Chick each managed one hit to lead North Oldham Lady Mustangs Varsity.
