Baptist Health La Grange and Baptist Health Sports Medicine will once again provide sports medicine coverage for the 2016-17 school year to the student athletes at NOHS. This will be their 14th year of providing such coverage at all Oldham County high schools.
Lynn Miller, MS, ATC will be the athletic trainer serving the North Oldham Campus. She has been a Mustang since 2006. She graduated from Rockford College in Illinois, where she was a member of the women’s soccer team. She then attended the University of Louisville where she earned her MS in Sport Administration. She will be on campus providing coverage for practices and games and is also in the training room where she is able to carry out treatment of injuries. She provides full-time coverage at NOHS. Her salary and benefits are paid by Baptist Health La Grange.Neither NOHS or the Oldham County Board of Education pay anything for these services.Baptist Health La Grange gladly donates these services to the NOHS student athletes, coaches, parents, and community.
In addition, NOHS will be served by two orthopedic surgeons servicing as team doctors this year. Dr. Steve Smith has offices in Louisville and at Baptist Health Eastpoint and Dr. Jeremy Statton has offices at Baptist Health La Grange and at Baptist Health Eastpoint. Both of these doctors will cover football games providing on field care as needed for the team.
